Does anyone know much about the TD-06 ?
i know its non-BB .. and i think its equivalent to a T04
What is its HP rating .. and how would it go on a SR with an external wastegate ?
ohh and i know it needs a cutom manifold :)

Thanx

Have a look at the JMS website. Denzo's old onevia had a Trust TD06 20G with external wastegate on his RB20DEt and was a consistant 250 kw@rear wheels dyno performer. Come to think of it I think I saw the turbo for sale on the site.

http://www.japanesemotorsport.com.au/partsinstock4.htm

Performance should be similar on a SR20, would be good for mid twelves at worst.

That should give an indication of the 20G, but it comes it 25G trim which is a larger exhaust housing. More lag but more top end.

It would be ok for outright power but fangability would be a bit off due to the lag. Start boostin at like 4000 but geez it would hit you. Wonder how long everything would last...... :-?

he wants $2900 for the package.

dunno if that is worth it .. cause at JMS you can get the turbo for 1600, a manifold cant be much more than $1000 to get one made and the wastegate a few hundred ..

shpeedie - seriously i wouldn't buy a turbo without looking at it first for the obvious signs of damage. If you do ensure a warranty or return policy so you dont get screwed.

*cough*, $1000 for the manifold?? where? unless it's 2nd hand.
brand new manifold will set you back anywhere between $1.6-2.5gz depending on the compound it's made from.

when you say TD-06.. you must also state the compressor designation =) as you can have small arse 17c thru 25g? or something big =P

second hand, pay no more than $1,300 me thinks. brand spanking new gt30 is around the $2,100 mark. and its NEW and twin ball bearing =)

i'd far rather pay for extra money for a NEW unit =) not to mention you can then have it spec'd to any application you require..
