Hey guys, have a 180SX SR20DET, basically, car was stolen and recovered, you may have heard it on the news, some guy in "MINTO", NSW got caught with a whole heap of other cars as well.

In short, guy thrashed the car from Wollongong -> Minto (45min-60min journey), when recovered, i was told white smoke was coming out apparently whenever i was hitting boost. This is a stock car by the way.

Taken to mechanics, had a lot of tests done, compression, fuel pressure, water pressure, air flow + air mass meter, and all were fine, but still white smoke.

Any takers

Oh and i hope the dude enjoys picking up the soap.

Good to hear you got your car back.
It could be a blown turbo, that is causing it to blow white smoke.

yeh champ it sounds like your turbo is on the way out

take it to a performance workshop, not just a joe blow mechanic, if you told them it blew white smoke they would of found the problem for u.

White smoke is genrally water being burnt.... Check for water in the turbo or cooler pipes... Could be seals in turbo

Auto or manual? when the vaccuum kickdown stuffs itself in an auto it can draw ATF up into the engine which produces a white smoke.

Not on a nissan it can't.

They have electronic kick downs.
