 Post subject: COOLER AND TURBO UPGRADE

hey i was thinking of upgrading my CA18DET Turbo and cooler.

i had the GT28 turbo and a stock cooler off a S5 RX7 in mind

what do u think

if you know of a better upgrade, fill me in. where, how much!!!

s15 turbo and import VR4 cooler. Nice setup just ask sheepdie.

yep id have to agree !!! ;)
and the price of the VR4 cooler is quite good .. should be able to get a mint one under $500.
but i dont have any power figures as yet .. due to lean fuel consumption .. which is under fixing stage now.

first you should think about power figures your chasing. and then decide on the goods to take you there.

GT28 are always a top upgrade. if you intend to run no more then 1bar of boost then the s15bbT is an option, else go for something bigger..
Go for the GTR coolers.

Hey with the S15bbt, do they bolt strat on or do i have to do mods>

where could i get get a turbo and a GTR cooler and how much!!!!!!!!!!!

the S15 turbo will go on with minor mods ..
you need a different oil line which should be supplied with the turbo hopefully ..
the snout of the turbo is angled differently when put on and needs to be cut a little bit to have the air induction pipe facing in the right direction to the air filter so there isnt a huge kink in the pipe ..
and the exhaust side only 3 out of 5 bolts should fit on (thats with a standard S13 dump pipe)
besides that .. its a mad conversion !! :D

Nah, gtr coolers are are good upgrade for sr/ca's

just checkout budget (Jap) drift cars and they all have gtr coolers, s15 turbos tuned roms etc....u just need custom piping(der?)
