While we're bragging about turbos, I received my new one today :D
Nothing flash, just a T25G, but it's a marked upgrade from a T25 that's shitting itself :D PLUS it is in bloody perfect condition :D I'm very happy :P Now I need to organise for it to be fitted......

hmm sounds like I'll have to start posting some pics of my new turbo too :P

It's a kind of DIY hybrid using an IHI VF23 (from an STi) and some leftover bits from a dead Apexi AX53B60.
Should be about equivalent to an HKS GT2530.

i was using the exact same manifold on my CA. Id have full boost by 3500rpm without a problem. The extra capacity helped a bit but should not be that bad.

Hey guys newbie to this site here, im from snz which is silvia new zealand,Wow, same turbo kit as my ca, i brought a kit from japan it came with, HKS Cams, HKS adjustable cam gears, Trust W/G, Greddy manifold, TD06-19c Turbo (by the way yours is a td06-19c aswell which is a 19cm exh. housing) HKS 555cc Injectors, HKS 3 layer Metal Headgasket,, ARP Head studs, 3 INCH dump pipe, Z32 AF meter and a Tuned Computer, i payed New Zealand 3000, didnt have to rebuild any of it all in mint condition, since i have brought that i have also gotten, ACL Forged Race Pistons and Bearings, Arp Conrod Bolts, and a few extra lil bits n pieces! Should be putting out about 420HP from my ca18det, Let me know how yours goes, If your interested go to www.nissansilvia.co.nz go to the forums, then go to general discussions and look my my ca18det 200sx build up under the same user name :)

The 19C has absolutely nothing to do with the size of the exhaust housing. The 19c refers to the compressor wheel

xris's turbo is definately a td06-20g as it has a td06 rear end and a 20g front end

and the engine is still not in the car hahaha. one year after posting this thred. alots happened with the engine its only about 1 month away from being complete now (well its built just have to finish painting the car and get it in)

heres a few pics

The cam covers are just there to keep the crap out.

heres a list of what has been done to the head

Head has been port and polished. machined flat.
Competition Valves Australia Custom Stainless Exhaust valves
Tomei Solid lifter + shims
Tomei Valve springs
Tomei 270degree x 9.25mm lift Cams (IN and Ex)
Tomei 1.5mm metal head gasket
JUN Titanium Valve Retainers
JUN Race Spec Valve Guides
ARP Head Studs
Match ported intake runners with butterflys removed and holes welded up
Sard 800cc Twin Jet Injectors
Custom Inlet Manifold with XF (65mm) Throttle body with TPS

I have test fitted the turbo in the engine bay and it sits abit too low behind the engine stand so im going to have to get the manifold modified (as it had already been redone just before the turbo) and lifted up etc. i will be getting this done by Dalton Automotive in geelong. New dump pipe made up and cooler pipes to fit the intake plenum and new turbo setup.

Ive stitch welded the engine bay and am currently in the process of prepping it to be sprayed. this should be done in the next few weeks. by next month it should be down at dalton getting a microtech lt10s installed :-) finally.
