A simple S14/S15 T28 upgrade sounds like what you are after. I assume you hacve a redtop SR20 with T25G at the moment?

Right...it is the stockie one

because l noticed that power loss when l got a new front/dump pipe installed (without a high flow cat), then l throw in a new high flow....it's a bit better now but just can't get the same power when it was only having a cat back exhaust.....what a shame!!!!

but there are something unusual, since l install the front/dump pipe.... sometime it running well especially in the first start....maybe it has a long time rest at night. when l drive for like an hour, then the pick up from the turbo seems lacking somehow....

the worse case was when l accelerate normal (not very hard, just around 3000RPM), the RPM does go up but the car was not accelerating.....

what l got now is the noise but not the power...!!! daxn it!!

doesnt sound like you need a new turbo mate. could possibly be a slipping clutch from what you have very briefly described.

you should definitly be making more power from a full system than from just a cat-back.. no doubt about that. what other mods do you have (air filter, boost controller etc???)

what boost is it running? have you had it on the dyno yet to check everything is in order?

it has no boost controller ....so it's with the factor boost....
what l have is a 3' turbo back exhaust and a HKS air filter.....:)

do you think the clutch will cause that kind of problem?
since l don't have much mod., so do you think dyno is necessary? becasue l couldn't change any setting to the boost etc....

perfectly describes the symptoms of a slipping clutch.

the dyno run i sugested isnt to change anything, rather to test the car in a controlled environment to check if anything is wrong that you might not pick up on the road

but this doesn't happen often, l think about 3 or 4 times in a month or 2....
at the first time it happened, was only about 2 seconds, on the other time....l notice that l release the acc pad then acc again....then it was fine again

in the last time, when l notice that... l intended to push it harder, the RPM rise very slowly and l couldn't hear the sound that turbo spooling up (becasue normally the sound from the turbo is quite noticeable even inside the car) and the sound from the exhaust was very weak, that took 3-4 seconds and even when l released the pad and acc again....it didn't recover until like 1 min after !!!

do you think this is the slipping clutch problem??
if it is, when l acc the turbo should spool up and the sound from the exhaust shouldn't be that weak !!! becasue it sounds like at (normal) 2000 RPM while l was at 3~4000 mark!!!

What do you think???

does the dyno be able to pick the problem from the clutch as well??
