mm nos makes it pretty useless for comparison, but anyways did you ever end up running it at unigroup ?

Now for the golden question. How to differentiate between the 8cm and 10cm T518z? I dont know which one I have! Probably the 8cm cos on the dyno it makes 1.3bar by 3600rpm. As a joke I did the 'flatten it in 5th with left foot on brake' and got 1.2bar at 3000rpm (seriously!).

Thanks for replying to such an old thread :)

Don't suppose you have the dyno sheet from the run? (interested to see the curve).

226 @ 15psi is very nice... (whats it like coming onto boost)

Ohh yeah I too want to know the difference betwen the 8 and the 10 cm.

Cheers

it makes full boost fairly fast, i would say about 3500rpm, it is a very responsive street turbo and i like it very much so.

the difference between the 8 / 10cm is just the exhuast housings. you will find there is a bit more lag between the 2, but the 10cm is good for about 30hp more than the 8cm version or there abouts.

my mate who use the nos to achieve that figure, he made 245rwkw on 25psi tapered off to 18psi i think with that turbo or something like that ive got a video of it here... [yep thats right those figures]

the actuator with the turbo can only hold a max of around 18psi anything higher and it tapers off.

he has since run an 11.6 1/4 time @ WSID [using the nos of course]

not bad for an internally standard bottom end sr20, with cams and rocker arm stoppers in the top end. and before you guys go on and say "oh it will blow blah blah" he has been punishing the engine as so for the last year.....

its a testament to the strength of the SR20 if looked after and tuned properly.

tuning was also done @ CRD on his car
