I think the XR6 turbo is a T4 flange, it's big whatever it is, i very very much doubt it would go anywhere near a SR, or work very well if it did bolt up.

The turbo is a GT40 from what i've read. rated to about 700hp

i rekon it'd be a lag monster on an SR, seeing its been specifically designed and matched for a 4 litre 6 cylinder!

the turbos are GT35/40
Started as just a GT35 but apparently the 35 exhaust was to small to safely make the 220Kw required so a hybrid was formed. Its a pretty nice looking turbo could be interesting on an SR.

yeah i remember reading about that somewhere... was it an autospeed article ? intake temps were too high so they changed exhaust housing and it seemed to go good... anyways, its way too big for an SR, although on ns.com someone is putting one on there silvia, will be interesting to see the results

Last i heard Jash from c-red had one on the C-red S15.
I'd highly doubt they'd bolt onto a Standard manifold even if you had the correct flange made up for it as you can do with some GT30's

yeah thats the reason the ns.com member went ahead with it
although i think it was still silly, the thing is huge... waste of money and time

they have these stock turbos pumping out 350rwkw+ on the xr6's, so they flow ALOT, and from that you can imagine where there efficiency range is in

Na i didn't read it I Know one of the guys that worked in the R&D section on the New BA. He is actually a tafe teacher now top guy and very switched on.
If anyone has a BA put your foot about 1/2 throttle and start it up. You will be suprised at what happens. Just make sure the engine is warm before you do it :P

It gives full throttle for a whole five seconds :P Not very nice for your engine but scared the crap out of me the first time I did it. The noise is massive sounds like the bonnet is about to be sucked into the air box.
It spose to be a deterant for people that like to start an EFI engine with the throttle pressed like you do with a carby engine.
