Shouldnt really do any damage but never know there ia always room for electrical fault. I have seen a 350Z that was in a prang and the Fly by wire failed to cut out when the air bag went off. Full throttle into the car in front five times before the guy got his bearings and found park :o

It gives full throttle for a whole five seconds :P Not very nice for your engine but scared the crap out of me the first time I did it. The noise is massive sounds like the bonnet is about to be sucked into the air box.
It spose to be a deterant for people that like to start an EFI engine with the throttle pressed like you do with a carby engine.

GeeZ! they could of just had a warning light or "Beeper/Buzzer" to warn or annoy you..

but NOOO!!

they would rather scare the FUCK out of you, your neighbours and your little cozy cat early on a winters morning!
:o

Really is too big for an SR unless you want a dyno queen. Makes a cheap option in that they are internally wastegated though. Wont find any other internally gated turbos that big :)

All you would need is a custom manifold, theoretically, you could probably even keep it low mount if it will clear the strut tower.

Workshop over here is putting one on a supra at present, should be interesting.

that would be interesting!

A stock XR6 turbo just went on the dyno here and pulled 220rwkw.

That's a hell of a lot for an engine claiming 240kw at the fly!

it will not bolt up 2 ur stock sr20det manifold
with a turbo like that ur beta off geting a custom manifold made
i recommend a hig mount if ur looking for some one to custom make it PM me i do it for a liveing

i think its a very good turbo
change the housing around and there will be no lag
maybe some thing like a .63 or .64 exhaust housing with external wastegate and there will be no lag and the sound of external gate will be music to ur ears and a compressor housing off a/r 70 but u dont really need that unless ur aiming for big power numbers
