Ive been told by T_M_B that I have to make power :P
Next dyno day we will have the SR's hiding in the car park 8)

Why don't you guys use standard bottom ends to make power?

Oh thats right, CA's need a complete rebuild with aftermarket gear before they can handle any power! 8)

whats the deal with the ego's that sr owners carry around. just dont get it?

Power output im chasing is between 350-400hp(260-300kw) at the wheels roughly, wouldnt mind hitting 300kw but dont want to push my luck :)

well.. went to pick the turbo up today. front wheel has bent blades on some of the tips?!? the exhaust housing looks abit smallish (1.5" across the propeller, and 1" thick exhaust) the front housing says TD06 20g but yeh i think the exhaust side has been changed to a smaller size.
The external wastegate is huge! about 45mm im guessing
but where the turbo + ex gate bolt on its been cut and moved in abit (changed position?) it sits almost stock position and looks like it will fit with abs. no cracks in anything. dump pipe is abit dodgie but yeh nothing that cant be replaced

So im getting the turbo stripped and inspected, the guys going halves in the price or im getting it for $1900, the guy thats checking it out is going to fix it for cost price (said min $400 max $1300 to fix) the guy that im buying it off is going halves in the price to rebuild, will see once i find out whats wrong with it.

Sounds like you may have got a TD05 with TD06 comp wheel and housing. TD06 rear wheels are generally quite large (over 2in diameter).

Sounds like you will need a new comp wheel and probably bearings, seals and balance.. This will probably set you back about 1k

the turbo looks different to this the exhaust size is pretty small compared to the intake side.
