OK

so most people will find out soon anyway, i wasnt going to do more mods, but im sure many people say this lol

i got myself an Apexi GT intercooler. with the help of 3 friends, Nissan97t, capgun and a non-forum member, Paul - Many thanks to you three! - I have a small hole in one of the rubber piping that joins the metal piping together.

im just going to replace them all with new items and get new clamps that are much better quality. im worried something will pop off while im at work and cant do anything about it.

So my question is this:

The rubber hoses are 80mm in diameter and one 70mm. where can i get some on this weekend. are these an off the shelf item anywhere? id like to get some clamps that people here know work quite well and where to get them :)

thanks all, and thanks again to the people that assisted (they kinda did most of the work lol) with the installation!

So you found the leak then ? Cool ! Did you get the new pipe for the BOV made up ?

I know GCG sells silicon hose...not cheap though.

Nuh they don't have heavy duty clamps, as I needed some too, I did get some from Robbos Spares, but they were like $8 each, for massive ones with bolts that do up.
Becareful don't do them up too tight or you will damage something.
I actually found them not to be perfect circles when I done them up and they started to leak, so I am not using them, waste of fukin money.
Lucky I only baught 2 and not a full set.

ahh i see

jiga no i didnt find the leak. well, i MAY have, but im just going to replace them all if i do any at all. just to be on the safe side. its something i DONT want to stuff up while driving.

ill see how the quality of stuff is at robbos or auto one etc and ill check out the clamps. i know what you mean rob with them not making a complete circle, ill look around for some alternatives. pity i need 10 of the larger clamps, could mean $50+. but if they are good....... then i dont mind spending the money

Iain highly recommend Motorsport Connections at Seven Hills.

1800 242 910. Heaps of HQ silicone hose, clamps, braided lines, all that sort of stuff.

Actually going down this arvo for driftdave's car.

as nissan97t mentioned... the best place would be GCG turbos in eldridge rd bankstown. about 70 bucks for each hose.
they supply SFS performance hoses. very good quality indeed.
